Love For the Script

“The concept of this show just kicks ass on so many levels. It shows us sex positivity and how that has been co-opted by commerce, depictions of race, gender and orientation and how they navigate their identities in a capitalist society that commodifies their sexuality - so man good things here I haven't seen. Overall, this is a very unique piece by an obviously talented writer. This fits a demographic that is sorely underrepresented in programming, and there is tremendous potential and appetite for what this writer has to say.”

“Overall, this is a really great pilot, one that is funny and grounded in a truthful reality. I’d be excited to watch this series––it feels compelling, fresh, and so amazingly funny.

“This comedy is unlike anything that's on television or that's streaming right now. The strongest sell for this comedy show is the originality and characterization. Not only does this story follow predominately Black characters, but it highlights these characters in situations that a lot of Black content tends to stay away from. If Black content does enter into sexuality, it's usually just touched on for an episode and isn't the main theme of the television show. Yes, we've had other groundbreaking television shows that delve into the topics of sex, but never from a Black, femme, sex positive, and gender fluid perspective. Since your point of view is so strong, the world building feels very realistic and natural. I totally got a sense of who Cassie was at the beginning of the episode. I think a lot of women of diverse backgrounds can relate to this Instagram heavy culture and only showing the world the highlights of your life.”
